Strandpromenade

The stones were taken from the construction of a beach promenade in Jevnaker in 2023-25.

A beautiful beach promenade with viewpoints and a pier is currently in the making. 80 million kroner has been set aside for measures on the current E16 through Jevnaker. Anyone with a little knowledge of road construction knows that that amount does not go far. Therefore, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, together with the municipality and Skanska, has thought outside the box to get the most out of the money set aside for local measures in Jevnaker. What’s key is, among other things, being able to transport rock masses from the new E16 Olum-Åsbygda directly down to Verkevika, and to give them a year to compact in place.
