Surplus stone from a quarry on the island of Vestre Bolæren. Operation of the quarry ceased when the Norwegian Armed Forces took over during World War I. The brick-red, coarse-grained Tønsbergite from the quarry on Bolæren, is used in the foundation of the Norwegian Royal Palace, among other things.
