Old Morud School

The stones have been part of the foundation wall of the old Morud school in Nannestad. A permanent school became available at Morud in 1852. The school was in use until 1964, after which the students were sent to the new Maura school. Morud school has now been demolished, but the stones in the foundation wall were given to a local farmer and are now privately owned on the farm Ås (Gnr. 126, bnr. 1). Gudmund Aas is the current owner.
The stones are believed to have been taken from a local quarry in Romeriksåsene.
